No they aren't the Retro 7, or the Jordan 2011 for that matter. Jordan Brand however dressed up their very own 2011 Q Flight in the "Year of the Rabbit" colorway. These sneakers are only available at select Jordan Brand accounts but have now officially released today! Retail on these kicks are only $120. Curious to see who these are going to sell compared to the other "rabbit" releases this past year. Only time will tell. What do you think?

We heard the announcement a few months back on what we can expect next spring/summer from Jordan Brand. Here is a quick shot that is currently floating around on the web that was taking from somebody sitting in on a order meeting. You can always tell because the shots are always looked "rushed" on a bed or table with a bunch of Jordan apparel or taken under some sort of table with a cell phone. HA. All good. You all ready for another sneaker that you can't get in the US? Ready, Set, Go....haha. These were introduced to the internetz a little over a month ago. Nike did a mock up of these in limited quantities to commemorate the Rugby World Cup 2011. Take a look at some of the shots below. It will come packages with a special set of "Beats By Dre Headsets" and the shoe itself is done up in black/stealth Hyperfuse material with red "New Blood" in place of the Nike Air on the tongue. The England Rugby ‘NEW BLOOD” Air Max 1 Hyperfuse will be available at Nike’s 1948 store in East London this weekend. Retail will be about $200 US. Let the resale begin!

We tried to reserve judgement until we have these sneakers in hand but the newly released colorway pictures make it difficult for us. HA. This "Miami" color is a little different from what we traditionally see from good ol' Lebron camp. No word yet on if/what the release date will be on these. So this past weekend was slow for releases (Thank God) but the Kobe 6 "Lower Merion" did release online and in select stores this past weekend on the 10th. Wanted to thow this out there and ask if the Kobe 6 hype/interest has died down? We personally think that this sneaker is one of the better ones on the Kobe lineup far as comfort and style go. Just like every other signature shoe on the market right now we do think there are quite a few color selections...wait...thats an understatement...more like a saturation of colors is more like it. Kid Cudi Grabs 4 pair of Nike Air Mags

So we here at SSD are also notorious for grabbing up double, triples, hell maybe even quadruples of one pair of sneaker. Well, as we sit here and bump this "Sound Track 2 My Life" we stumbled across the Cudder himself winning 4 pairs of Nike Mags off eBay not too long ago. Keep in mind that each auction ended a little over $5,000 a pair. Hmmmm...do the math on that one! He announced his winnings on twitter with this statement. "Won 4 pairs of McFly's off Ebay, xmas done came early willllyyyyyy!!!"

Nothing yet on what Cudi plans to do with them but we are sure he will pop up somewhere with them on. Keep in mind this is a sneaker that NIke themselves explains can't but worn but so many times then it's done. Thoughts?

Here we are yet again..another Saturday and Jordan Brand is releasing another Retro for the streetz. This time around they are putting a new color blocking on the classic 3 platform. Suede upper and black leather backing with an all white midsole. These come equipped with all white laces but certain people have already started to rock red laces and black laces as replacements. These release on 9/3 for $150 and should be available at select Jordan accounts.

Today Nike.com released the "Future Sole" M7 in the bright orange (Reppin Syracuse) online and the additional 3 colors in the M7 Advance in select stores. Taking a look at both the home and away Knicks colors and the red/blue "Puerto Rico" Future Sole combination put together make for some great color releases. Each one of the sneakers are priced at $130 a piece and select size runs were made in each. Good luck to those of you looking to grab a pair!

In a about a week or so Jordan heads can get pretty excited about the Jordan 2011 hitting NIke iD. Jordan brand is known for mainly bringing out team shoes and hybrid sneakers from their line to Nike iD mainly. This time around they actually hit us with a staple shoe that gets the custom treatment. No official word yet on how much they are exactly going to cost but will keep you updates once we hear more. Just a little brother to big brother follow up from the other day (LOL) we now will see the Jordan 11 low release next week on August 13th for $120. We are glad to see the blk/red color sold pretty well last month and we are sure these will do just as good. The price point is correct and the sneaker is actually done up tastefully. People that have been on this information have been saving that $$ since last year! Take a look at the newly revises box for them and the "concord" insert. The one thing we knew that was going to change was that price tag. Retail on these babies now will be $180. From the OG pair that's a $55 price jump....oh boy! According to finishline twitter feed yesterday they stated that they will have a "limited" run of his sneaker for sale online. No exact timing on if they are going to do it at midnight...or knowing finishline it might even be mid day. We will keep you up to speed either way. Jordan Returns on the cover of 2k12!!

We thought this was pretty cool....2K Sports has decided to put the great one back on their cover for the up coming fall release of NBA 2k12. Along side of Michael there will be 1 of 3 covers that you are able to choose from. All we are saying is that I hope they were smart enough to make triple the amount of the MJ covers because that is the one everybody is going to go crazy over. Please believe with much respect to Magic and Larry, they just might have to get skipped over on this side of town. HA. No official word yet on if they are going to have Jordan Brand as involved as they did with 2k11. Once we hear more we will definitely keep you posted.

The Air Jordan Retro low re-released yet again this past Saturday and sold completely out online and in tons of Jordan accounts. The sneaker returned in it's OG color and sold fairly well with a price tag of $120. For many it was a chance to get back a "grail" status shoe, others it was just a opportunity to cop a decent looking Jordan without having to pay over that $150 price tag. Nike Air Max LeBron 9 (IX) New Detailed Pics

Just yesterday pictures surfaced all over the internet about these Lebron 9's. At first glance they look almost exactly like an HyperDunk to us with the LBJ V3 outsole. From the pictures you can clearly see they are rolling with the Zoom in the front and Air Max unit in the heel just like the V3. We are thinking that Lebron's team just like the Jordan, is trying to put more of that focus on performance more so than lifestyle with this years signature sneaker. Few days back we got word just like other various sites that the Quai 54 was going to be making a U.S. release on July 2nd at select House of Hoops locations....this is confirmed that they will NOT RELEASE in the U.S. at all. Confirmed by Jordan Brand that they were exclusively as a Euro release. So no clear bottoms for the states or anything like that. Happy hunting online...just remember to watch for Fakes and don't break your neck.

Converse to Use Flywire in Upcoming Releases

Converse is trying to bring back their performance lineup this year with somewhat of a twist. Nike SB P-Rod V – New Images

Surely more pictures with these will arise and when they do we will have them for you. If you can remember the post we put up around Eric Koston 1st branded skate shoe with the lunar technology incorporated, it comes as no surprise the P.Rod is following that same direction. We see a chocolate upper with a white midsole and what appears to be a "gum sole" outsole...WOW! Looking very similar to the Koston with the exception of the upper was minor adjustments. They will only release in limited quantities as expected at select House of Hoops locations. The word is that the US version will "NOT" have the green outsole like the euro release. Over the weekend the actual tournament was held in Paris and guess who was spotted hitting a half court shot with them on? The man himself along with a few others were seen this weekend sporting a pair of the so called "limited to 54 pair of black" Quai 54. This summer Adidas is bring back "Return of the Mac" (T-Mac 2) inspired shoes from over seven years or so ago. Slightly modified midsole to give a smoother look to the shoe, (the og had a bulky square shape) might bring back the nostalgia for some. Hey, my fellow Detroit people know T-Mac really didn't do anything for the Pistons this season but was balling back in his Orlando days! Thoughts?

We decided to post this up because one it's going to a really great cause, and two...this is a perfect example of really taking the sneaker game to another level. If you don't already know by now Jordan Geller (Guy holding the dog) took years and years building up his very own sneaker paradise in a warehouse in San Diego. It's been dubbed the "ShoeZeum" because it's pretty much made of everything NIke including Jordan numbered series line up shoes, Nike SB, Runners, OG trainers, and the list goes on. The unique thing about his collection is that he has created these "themed displays" for almost every sneaker he owns and the displays flow right with the respective shoe.

This warehouse was recently visited by some of Nike higher ups like Nike CEO Mark Parker and design mastermind Tinker Hatfield just to name a few. Only a select few groups of people have been invited to visit the ShoeZeum until now. And now for the first time ever, you just might be able to do that. Sneakernews dubbed Jordan the "Willy Wonka" of the shoe game and from that idea five “golden tickets” have been produced granting entry to The ShoeZeum for the winner and a guest. First auction for the tickets went up on Ebay yesterday and all the proceeds will go to the LiveStrong foundation due to the fact that Jordan is pro Nike. The rest of the auction will go up throughout the week.

Air Jordan 2.0 aka AJ Retro 2 Max

We reported on this show a few weeks back when the internetz were dubbing it the AJ Retro 2 Max. Since then Jordan Brand officially has named the shoe AJ 2.0 and it will now release on June 4th for $160. This sneaker is taken mainly from the Jordan 2 with a retooled 360 midsole. If you weren't a fan of the 2 before maybe you might like it with this newly designed midsole, it's definitely got our attention. Keep you posted once we get these in hand.

Shout out to KATC for being one of the first sites to post closer shots of the shoes online. This months releases will include Seahawks Nike Dunk SB High, the Aqua Nike SB Dunk Low, the Capuccino and White/Black Nike SB Janoski Mid, the Slate/Gum Nike SB Janoski Low, and a couple other styles. Remember that you "dunk" lineups now all have the retooled outsole on them and revamped uppers for more comfort. Be on the look out @ your local skate shop!

Nike Zoom Kobe VI "Metallic Silver"

Air Jordan Retro V (5) Black Metallic Silver 2011

Just in case you forgot about all these new release kicks coming out from Jordan this year you should already know SSD has you covered when it comes to Jordan. Releasing sometime in August will be the Retro 5 in the black/metallic silver colorway for it's 4 time around but this time with a little twist. Unlike the past retro done up in this color, the 2011 will feature a thicker black upper suede and a blue tinted sole instead of clear. These minor changes (which are to be expected by now) have certain Jordan heads pissed off, while others are just glad that the shoes will be releasing again in that color. We will keep you posted once we get closer to that timeframe on a exact date in Aug and better up close pics to come. What do you think about the changes to it this year?

You have seen the high top versions of the Jordan V.5 Grown but now the low tops have already started to hit select accounts and a few .com sites. These are what we like to call "snappy casual" kicks that can be worn this summer with just about anything. Jordan Brand is hitting the streets off with several color variations to go with any fit you are trying to throw together while keeping it cool. If you were not a huge fan of the high tops, the lows are looking pretty fresh in our opinion. Retail is $80.

Vans Custom Culture 2011 – Voting Open

Huge shout out to Vans for having this competition now in place for 2yrs in a row. It allows highschool art classes to customize a all white pair of vans in hopes for the grandprize winner to walk off with a $50,000 scholarship towards art school program. Nike doing the Air Fore 1 foamposite theme all over again this year seems to still be catching some fire. If you can remember almost this time last year Nike previewed the Silver High, then Black High late summer/fall, winter released the "Kobe" versions in the High/Low, and now we see a all white version appear. No official word yet on when these will release but the entire upper is constructed of foamposite material with a clear translucent blue midsole/outsole. Retail will more than likely still be @ that $200 price point when they release and we would still expect quantities to be limited to select retailers. Just in time for summer maybe??

So as most people here in the D stayed up late watching a grainy youtube stream of Kanye performing @ Coachella it seems he made yet another debut of this year hyped up release...The Yeezy 2. We first gave you screen shots just like every other blog and website out these on the internetz during Nike small short story of the The Black Mamba. Apparently the people that we actually in the crowd were a good distance away hence the somewhat blurred pics. We here at SSD are sure that more pics will surface in the next hours or so and Yeezy 2 will be the talk of the town in the am. We still are reserving judgement for the actual public release photos....these shots at least give us some clue as to what to look for in the near future...maybe!

So if you have not caught wind yet, Jordan Brand officially announced D.Wade signature shoe with the brand last week. Keep in mind ever since he left Converse he has played in various retro Jordans, team shoes, 2010, and the Jordan 2011 for the most part. Now we see some detailed pictures on what his sneaker will look like this summer. From what we here people will more than likely have a chance to customize these on NikeiD soon. I would expect to see D.Wade with these on in the blk/red colorway and others sometime during the playoff run within the next couple weeks. No official dates yet on this color but expect to see them in stores sometime before the month is up.

Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Space Jam’ – May 2011

When we first caught wind of Nike SB putting out their version of the "space jam" inspired SB we were a little skeptical. Now that better pictures have surfaced these don't look half bad at all. All black mesh upper, white midsole, icy outsole, touches of blue and Nike even keep similar round laces like the Space Jam 11 has. These will hit SB accounts as a quickstrike for May...expect them not to last on shelves. Thoughts?

The Jordan 2011 seems to be so much better received amongst sneaker heads compared to last years 2010 shoe. The Jordan Brand classic this year will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina and it will feature the nations top high school basketball players. Expect the East to rock the Orion Blue colorway, and the West to rock the Comet Red with a Black midsole. Apparently these sneakers are suppose to release in limited amounts on April 14th. Custom Jordan South Beach Retro 6

Just a week now that Detroit native "Juan the Blogger" had the internetz going nutz over this custom design. He teamed up with Co-owner of FreshmanClothing (Eric Lowry..aka El Cappy) to do their very own custom South Beach Jordan 6. The concept started off from the two bouncing ideas off each other of what the "south beach" color might look like on a Jordan silhouette. It was a no brainer to Juan that it should rightfully be done on his favorite numbered Jordan 6. We actually shot the video a week ago before the buzz started, and appreciate the opportunity to sit down for the exclusive. More to follow in the next week or so on the aftermath and the master designer himself walks us through the process.

We personally decided to past on these dude to the yellow midsole on the majority of the pairs that got released here in the D. Don't get us wrong, we were actually impressed by the color itself once we saw it in person but the quality of where the midsole should be white had a tint of yellow instead. We are normally use to seeing some quality control issues on Jordan's but these we have to say were quite bad. For those of you that did grab a pair how do yours look?
